My view on fillers

I work at a major pro beauty supply store and I see girls barely old enough to vote or drink getting fillers and plastic surgery and honestly I wish there was some way to tell them they don’t need it and to love what god has given them. The fact that beauty influencers with major teenage followings are promoting these procedures is making a whole new generation of insecure woman and men who think they need plump lips or forehead Botox to make themselves look better. I’m 30 years old and I remember when Botox first came out and it was geared toward more mature woman and now it’s being promoted to teens! You don’t need big full lips to be beautiful. You’re features are what make you unique, why would you want to look like everyone else. I feel sorry for some of these who have done it to themselves but at the same time you have to respect their decision because it is their body and hopefully their own money and they can do as they please, because to me, if buying a new purse or eyeshadow palette or a new nose will make you happy, then go for it! But I didn’t grow up with money and I know what it’s like to see your parents and yourself struggle to pay the bills and that money spent on temporary fillers can be saved for an emergency or used for something more useful, like gas for your car or food on the table. Botox, fillers, implants, lipo, those don’t make you attractive, confidence and your unique features do. Trust me. But at the end of the day, you do you! But think about why you’re doing it, half the time it’s for the wrong reasons, and when it becomes excessive, there is a psychological issue going on. That’s my own thoughts and I feel this way because of what I’ve seen for the last 14 years working in the beauty industry.
