I’ve heard of a couple different ways to use aromatherapy oils. They include placing them into a diffuser or rubbing them into your pulse points. But I’ve heard of a new technique, which is sniffing them! Sounds weird? Not when they come in own personal inhaler. I was intrigued when I heard about this and had to try it out. And thanks to the skin care brand La Isha, I got a chance a try this technique out and found out this was my favorite way to use aromatherapy oils. Let’s start with a little background on this technique.
How Do La Ishá’s Personal Aromatherapy Inhalers Work?
Our sense of smell is the first to develop and the most sensitive and powerful of the five senses. Unlike other sensory abilities that require interaction with the spinal, integumentary, circulatory or digestive systems to work, the recognition of smell is immediate and linked to the subconscious mind. Scent has the ability to evoke feelings as well as physical responses, and is linked to some of our earliest pre-verbal memories. No two people will react to an essential oil in exactly the same way, making the benefits of aromatherapy highly individualized.
When a person inhales an essential oil, its scent is immediately picked up by tiny receptors in the nose and transported to the limbic system in the brain. This system is involved with stress response, hormone levels, heart rate, blood pressure and respiration. This is why aromatherapy has such a powerful effect on the human body. Unlike other aromatherapy blends that are diluted with carrier oils and applied in a roll-on to the skin, you can feel the effect of La Ishá’s inhaled, undiluted blends within seconds instead of minutes. When you feel a migraine or a panic attack coming on, time is crucial in staving off a full-blown episode.
La Ishá’s Aromatherapy Inhaler Blends use only pure therapeutic-grade ingredients that support both beauty and health. They are organic and wild-crafted, gluten-free, vegan-certified, synthetic-free and cruelty-free.
The founder of La Isha was kind enough to send me three different blends to try out and I loved every one of them. Here is a quick overview on the blends I used.

How I feel about this blend: This is my favorite blend to sniff when I’m work. It keeps me focused when I have a big project to tackle. This also helps after a long day at work when I need to spend the night studying or cooking. I usually suffer from fatigue so I also keep this blend in my purse.
All of these blends are:
Does not come in direct contact with the skin.
Organic and wild-crafted.
Gluten-Free, Vegan-certified, synthetic-free, cruelty-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free.
Comes in chic, personal size refillable inhaler (refills will be available shortly).
Directions for use:
Uncap the inhaler and hold it just below your nose (do not insert inhaler tip into nostril). Inhale slowly, counting from 1 to 5 as you inhale. Then hold your breath for another count of 5, and exhale slowly. Repeat this procedure 2 to 3 times for each nostril. Then take a break to give the essential oils a moment to work. Use as needed.
If your nose is stuffy, use the All Stuffed Up aromatherapy blend first, wait 5 minutes and then continue with the aromatherapy blend of your choice for best results.
I highly recommend trying this new technique out if you are into aromatherapy blends. You will not be disappointed.
